For FMCG distribution

Your route plan says 40 outlets a day. Your secondary sales say otherwise.

E-Tracker gives FMCG distributors and their salesmen one app for attendance, route plans, outlet visits, targets, sales orders and dispatch — so coverage and productivity are visible every day, not at month end.

Where FMCG distribution loses money

FMCG distribution is a volume game played on thin margins. A distributor's salesmen are expected to cover 30 to 50 outlets a day on fixed routes, take orders and push new SKUs. When coverage slips, it does not show up immediately — it shows up as lost lines, out-of-stock outlets and a weaker month for the brand.

Most distributors still depend on order books, phone orders and a salesman's word that an outlet was visited. Companies ask for coverage and productivity numbers that nobody can produce reliably, and the distributor's own team has no single place to see what happened on each route.

A field sales app for FMCG needs to be quick enough to use dozens of times a day, affordable for a distributor, and clear enough that the numbers it produces can be trusted.

What to look for in an FMCG field sales app

  1. Speed per outlet. With 30–50 calls a day, checking in and logging a visit must take seconds.
  2. Route discipline. Planned routes compared with actual visits and trails show which outlets were skipped.
  3. Orders from your price list. Salesmen should create orders from the catalogue with correct prices and tax rates.
  4. Dispatch visibility. Orders should flow straight to dispatch, not be re-typed at the godown.
  5. Affordable per salesman. Distributors need per-user pricing that scales with the team.

Features

How E-Tracker solves it

01

Route plans for every salesman

Plan each salesman's route of outlets so the day starts with a clear list. Compare the plan with actual visits and the day's trail to spot outlets that were skipped.

02

Outlet visits with check-in and check-out

Salesmen check in on arrival, log the visit and check out. Every outlet visit keeps its time and location, and visit history shows how often each outlet was covered.

03

Sales orders, price lists and dispatch

Salesmen create orders from your product catalogue with price lists and tax rates. Orders reach the office immediately and move to dispatch from the admin console.

04

Attendance, live location and targets

Selfie + location punch-in at the start of the day, live location on the team map during the shift, and a target card on every salesman's home screen.

How it works

  1. 1

    Load outlets and products

Add outlets as clients and set up products, price lists and tax rates. Plan routes for each salesman.

  2. 2

    Salesmen run the route

Punch in, follow the route, check in at every outlet and take orders from the app.

  3. 3

    Review coverage daily

Visits, trails, orders and target progress per salesman — ready for the evening review.

Case study · FMCG distributor, 2 brands

Illustrative scenario

Recorded coverage for every route, every day

A distributor for two FMCG brands with 18 salesmen had no reliable way to show the company its coverage. With route plans, outlet visit check-ins and orders in E-Tracker, the distributor now reviews recorded visits and orders per salesman every evening and shares coverage numbers with the brand every week.

Based on how teams in this industry typically roll out the product. Figures are representative, not a specific customer's results.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can E-Tracker replace my distributor management system?

E-Tracker covers the field side — attendance, routes, visits, orders and dispatch. Accounting and inventory stay in your billing software; Tally integration is not available yet.

Does it work on entry-level Android phones?

Yes, the employee app runs on Android and iOS. Location fixes are queued when there is no network and uploaded later.

Can salesmen scan a retailer's visiting card?

Yes. With the CRM add-on, scanning a visiting card creates a new lead from the photo.

Can the brand company see my data?

Only what you choose to share. Your data stays in your own account; you can share reports with the brand.

How long does it take to roll out?

Usually about a week: set up outlets and products, plan routes, and train salesmen in a single session at the godown.

How is it priced?

Essential (₹29 per employee) plus Field Tracking (₹99 per field user) and CRM (₹149 per sales user) for order taking, per month.
